The third season of Bigg Boss has a number of firsts to its credit. The biggest one, of course, being Big B playing host of the show. The other first that has not been discussed much, but may prove to be a big game changer is the fact the audience voting will be considered not only for evictions, but also for entries in the show. If one has to go by the promos and media releases of the channels, audience polls will play a very important role in selecting the inmates of Bigg Boss 3.
TellyChakkar identified 10 celebrities from the world of television whom we would like to see as inmates in the house manned by cameras 24 by 7.
Gauri Pradhan: One of the prettiest faces on Indian television, she is also one of the fiercest protectors of her privacy. Apart from the fact that she is married to Hiten Tejwani and expecting their first child, very few personal details are known about her. Her media-unfriendly nature and apparently-snobbish attitude has made her one of the most mysterious women in the Indian television industry. Staying as an inmate in the Bigg Bosshouse under constant public glare for 24 hours would be the ideal way to satiate her fans’ and critics’ need to know everything about her.
Ekta Kapoor: If Gauri Pradhan is labelled as the most mysterious lady on Indian television, Ekta will undoubtedly qualify as the most powerful woman. There was a time when a broadcaster’s fortune used to be made or broken depending on how close the channel was to Balaji Telefilms. Though her power has reduced a bit with the death of saas-bahu soaps, she can still make or break an actor. Coupled with her long tika, different dress sense and rumours surrounding her lifestyle, Ekta would definitely be an interesting inmate in the Bigg Boss house.
Ronit Roy: If Ekta would be an interesting watch because of the rumours about her lifestyle, it would be just the opposite for Ronit Roy. There are no stories surrounding the uncrowned king of Indian television. He leads a happy married life with wife Neelam and kids and has till date not been linked with any of his co-stars. His punctuality, professionalism and media-friendly nature has only helped build his image. It would really be interesting to know how Ronit Roy is in real life, when the arc lights are switched off and the greasepaint peeled.
Smriti Irani: If Mihir becomes an inmate of the Bigg Boss house, can his Tulsi be far behind? Even if you do away with their fantastic on-screen chemistry, Ronit Roy and Smriti Irani would be an interesting pair in the Bigg Boss house as well. Smriti has been floundering on her career path, ever since Kyunki… stopped. Her foray into politics, her tryst with production and her return to Kyunki… none of it really gave her back the kind of success she was used to earlier. For someone who was equally comfortable posing in a bikini (when she competed for Miss India) and being the epitome of Indian tradition, being under the watchful eyes of multiple cameras throughout the day would be an interesting challenge. Her holier-than-thou attitude can also be tested in this show.
Karan Singh Grover: The hottest doctor on Indian television today, Dr Armaan from Dil Mill Gayee got a very cold response when he first started his career. His launch pad Kitni Masti Hai Zindagi was not so well accepted by the audience. It was only after Kasauti Zindagi Kay his second serial that he started getting noticed. Today he is one of the most popular actors with his muscular physique and tattoos. Rumours have it that he has become irregular on the sets of Dil Mill Gayee because of a film that he is doing. The entire teenage girl fraternity in India would like to see him as an inmate in Bigg Boss to know the real Karan Singh Grover.
Cezzane Khan: One of the most mysterious characters on Indian television, Khan (better known as Anurag Basu) has always shied away from media and publicity. Though he is currently doing Seeta Aur Geeta, the larger than life image of Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Anurag Basu will haunt him forever in his career. He also has an equal number of fans who love him and hate him. Viewers would like to see him as an inmate simply because very few details of his personal life are available and they would like to know more about him.
Aamna Shariff: If Khan is Mr Mysterious of Indian television, the Ms Mysterious title would undoubtedly go to Aamna. Even though she has done only one show (Kaahin to Hoga) in television, Aamna has a tremendous fan following across the world. One of the prettiest faces on Indian television, Aamna was linked with Rajeev Khandelwal during Kaahin To Hoga and later with Aftab Shivdasani during her first film Aloo Chaat. Very few details are known about this pretty actress because she has always been inaccessible to the media on her personal life. It would be nice to see her withstand public glare 24 by 7 when she has been trying to avoid it throughout.
Rajeev Khandelwal: If Kashish returns to television, can her beloved Sujal be far behind? Prachi Desai: After King Khan, perhaps the biggest small to big screen transformation, Prachi has never tasted failure in her career till date. Thanks to an active promotion and career management by Ekta Kapoor and Co, she has also been able to make the right moves at the right time. It would be interesting to see how the lady with the spotless image actually lives life. And with Ekta Kapoor also an inmate in the same house, Bigg Boss can really become exciting.
Iqbal Khan: Karam Apna Apna and Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hain brought Iqbal to the forefront. One of the most handsome actors in the television , Iqbal is currently waiting for the right opportunity. Happily married to his wife who comes from a non-filmy background, Iqbal is in news every now and then since news of his taking up some serial or the other keeps on coming up. His female fans would like to see him in Bigg Boss, just to have him back on television if not for anything else.
